Hurricanes Irma and Maria have battered islands throughout the Caribbean and parts of the southeastern United States. JetBlue will work with GlobalGiving to assess the needs of communities throughout the affected areas. All donations to this fund will support immediate relief and long-term rebuilding efforts of local nonprofits.
With damaging winds and large storm surges, Hurricanes Irma and Maria have destroyed homes and critical infrastructure throughout the Caribbean. Millions are without power, have been displaced from their homes, and lack basic necessities. Local nonprofit partners are responding to support the needs of the survivors.
All donations to this fund will support hurricane recovery and relief efforts throughout the affected areas in the Caribbean and southeastern US. This fund will help first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, and shelter. Once initial relief work is complete, this fund will transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations responding to this disaster.
JetBlue stands with the individuals and organizations impacted by these natural disasters. We believe that organizations that are deeply-rooted in local communities are in the best position to provide long-term support for survivors of disasters like Hurricanes Irma and Maria. By funding the relief efforts of local organizations, we are committing to support rebuilding efforts in the long-term.
