Recently, we’ve felt defeated. As a human continuously observing the chaos unfolding in the world; we’ve felt a calling to do more, to make a difference; even if it is small in size. We’ve always maintained that we’ve wanted to do more, by spreading kindness, and we want to start by doing our part to make this world a better place. So many causes require attention and awareness, it is difficult to start in one place. As a small business, we hope to create with consciousness of where we are able to contribute to the world being a better place.
Starting May 1st, 5% of sales with our upcoming spring collection where we will be celebrating women will be donated towards one of the @globalgiving causes providing young girls in Turkey an opportunity at receiving a scholarship of attending school for an entire year.
1 out of 3 marriages in Turkey are underage. Due to lack of knowledge, as well as poverty, low education, and many other reasons; girls are unable to continue with their education to seek financial stability and to be able to seek a dignified life for theirselves.
For any child, education provides an opportunity to open doors for a future. Without education, those doors may be sealed shut. Education is one of the only ways to break this incredibly devastating cycle.
