At Preston Turnbull, we are proud to host “Art with Purpose”, a special art exhibition by Venezuelan artist Adriana Jaros, bringing together art, community and philanthropy in support of Coromoto 2020’s work in La Guaira, Venezuela.
Following the earthquakes that affected communities across La Guaira, families have faced the loss of loved ones, damaged or destroyed homes, displacement and significant physical, emotional and financial challenges.
The emergency is not over. Families continue to need essential support while also facing the difficult process of rebuilding their lives. Coromoto 2020 is therefore working on both fronts: responding to immediate needs while supporting the long-term recovery of affected communities.
Coromoto 2020 was already working alongside communities in La Guaira before the earthquakes, which enabled the organisation and its local partners to respond quickly when the emergency began. Since then, support has included food, water, hygiene supplies, essential items and assistance for vulnerable families and children.
Alongside this immediate support, Coromoto 2020 is working with trusted local partners on community-led recovery projects, including “community kitchens and community spaces”, that provide nutritious meals as families rebuild stability and strengthen their communities.
Through “Art with Purpose”, Preston Turnbull and Adriana Jaros are bringing people together in London for a social experience with purpose, an opportunity to discover and enjoy art while helping families in Venezuela at a time when continued support is still urgently needed.
Between 30 and 50% of the proceeds from the sale of Adriana Jaros’ artwork will be donated to Coromoto 2020, in addition to funds raised through the event.
Together, we hope to turn art, connection and generosity into meaningful support, responding to needs today while helping communities rebuild for tomorrow.
