I found it worthwhile sharing this story with you concerning a young girl named "Vanessa". Vanessa lived with her grandma in one of the remote villages in the district of Ulakwo in Ngo-okpala North L.G.A of Imo State. According to Vanessa, "my mother died during child devivery leaving us orphans under the care of my Dad who later died in motor accident on his way back from barber job". "My grandma and I together with my siblings make out a living through hawking as street vendors, I hardly eat breakfast before going to school, Sometimes we managed to eat only once a day, There weren’t enough resources to feed".
"In my infantile stage, I had a very hard life, struggling to finish my secondary school. My grandma had to struggle every day to provide for my two siblings and I". "As a young girl, I wanted to help, but there was little or not I could do as I managed to finished my secondary school as an orphanage".
According to Vanessa, not quite long she finished school she was diagnosed of helicobacter Pylori which have became chronic as a result of consistent skipping meals, which have negatively impacted her health and lead to nutritional deficiencies.
The goal of the feed 5000 Children on their charity children's day in this universal children's day celebration, a project on GlobalGiving is to relieve parents from having to budget for lunches, boost incomes and help to alleviate poverty.
