“Mohammad Aref Jafari”, a dedicated human rights activist and graduate in Economics from Balkh University, Afghanistan, was a compassionate and devoted figure in Afghan society who dedicated his years of life to the defense of human dignity and social justice. He served in Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) in Daikundi province and also played a significant role as an instructor at the Kabul Institute of Accounting, as well as a collaborator with the GRSP organization, contributing meaningfully to education, development, and the improvement of societal conditions.
Jafari, driven by fears of persecution and harassment, undertook the journey to Europe with his 14-year-old daughter, seeking asylum in a European country. Regrettably, during the journey in Greece, he sustained a severe brain injury and subsequently passed away on April 28, 2026. His death is a great loss to Afghanistan’s civil society.
His daughter is currently residing in a migrant camp in Greece, while his wife and two little children remain in Kabul. His wife and children are living in Kabul under extremely difficult, insecure, and distressing conditions. They are not only facing the loss of the family’s primary breadwinner but are also struggling with serious economic hardships and security threats.
At this critical moment, this family needs our support more than ever. All humanitarian institutions, international organizations, and conscientious individuals are earnestly requested to stand by the family of the late Mohammad Aref Jafari through financial assistance and humanitarian support, and to help restore hope to their lives.
Every contribution, even a small one, can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children. Let us not leave this family alone in these difficult circumstances; rather, let us act with compassion and a shared sense of human responsibility.

:تقاضای کمک برای خانواده یک فعال حقوق بشر
"محمد عارف جعفری"، فعال متعهد حقوق بشر و فارغ تحصیل رشته اقتصاد از دانشگاه بلخ، از چهره‌های دلسوز و خدمت‌گزار جامعه افغانستان بود که سال‌های زندگی خود را وقف دفاع از کرامت انسانی و عدالت اجتماعی کرد. او به‌عنوان کارمند "کمیسیون مستقل حقوق بشر افغانستان" در ولایت دایکندی خدمت نمود و همچنان به‌عنوان استاد در “انستیتوت حسابداری کابل” و همکار در مؤسسه “GRSP” نقش مهمی در آموزش، توسعه و بهبود وضعیت جامعه ایفا کرد.
جعفری به خاطر ترس از اینکه مورد آزار و تعقیب قرار نگیرد، با دختر 14 ساله اش راه اروپا را در پیش گرفت تا در یکی از کشورهای اروپایی پناهنده شود؛ اما متاسفانه در مسیر راه یونان دچار آسیب مغزی گردید و بعد به تاریخ 28 آپریل 2026 میلادی جان باخت. درگذشت او ضایعه‌ای بزرگ برای جامعه مدنی افغانستان است.
فعلا دخترش در یکی از کمپ های مهاجرین به سر می برد و دو کودک و خانم اش در افغانستان مانده اند. خانواده او (همسر و کودکان خردسالش) در کابل در شرایط بسیار دشوار، ناامن و نگران‌کننده زندگی می‌کنند. آنان نه تنها با فقدان نان‌آور خانواده روبه‌رو هستند، بلکه با مشکلات جدی اقتصادی و تهدیدهای امنیتی نیز دست‌وپنجه نرم می‌کنند.
در این لحظه دشوار، این خانواده بیش از هر زمان دیگر به حمایت ما نیاز دارند. از تمامی نهادهای بشردوستانه، سازمان‌های بین‌المللی و افراد با وجدان تقاضا می‌شود تا با کمک‌های مالی و حمایت‌های انسانی، در کنار خانواده مرحوم محمد عارف جعفری بایستند و امید را به زندگی آنان بازگردانند. هر کمک - حتا کمک کوچک - می‌تواند تفاوت بزرگی در زندگی این کودکان ایجاد کند.
بیایید با همدلی و مسئولیت انسانی، این خانواده را در این شرایط دشوار تنها نگذاریم.
