Mission

Peace Boat Disaster Relief (PBV) is an International NGO working to assist disaster-affected people and strengthen disaster resilience of communities in Japan and around the world. PBV was established by NGO Peace Boat after the Great East-Japan Earthquake and Tsunami in 2011. The NGO Peace Boat has carried out emergency relief operations for over 20 years since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in Kobe, Japan in 1995. Peace Boat and PBV have organized emergency relief operations in a number of countries around the world, including Turkey, Taiwan, Algeria, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Indonesia, Chile, Guatemala, USA and the Philippines.
