GlobeMed at Truman State

GlobeMed at Truman State partners with Maison de Naissance, a grassroots maternal health clinic located in Larnage, Haiti, to improve the health of Haitians living in poverty. Our aim is to strengthen the movement for global health equity by empowering Truman State University students, our campus and our partner community to mobilize ideas, funds and other resources to target and eliminate maternal health problems in rural Haiti.

Programs

Each year GlobeMed at Truman State engages our campus and community in a variety of fundraising and educational campaigns aimed at engaging other in global health discourse and raising funds for our partner. Each week, we host speakers, presentations and discussions on global health and social justice topics with the hope of inspiring young leaders to make a commitment to global health equity.
