Mission

Today, millions of children across the world are unable to go to school - from rural areas that have never had a school, to classrooms that have been destroyed because of disaster or conflict. For children who are in school, many schools are not a good enough standard, with hundreds of students per classroom, a lack of sanitary facilities, untrained and unmotivated teachers, unsafe buildings and inadequate learning materials. Street Child believes that achieving universal basic education is the single greatest step that can be taken towards the elimination of global poverty.
