GlobalGiving Joins YOUR TURN Campaign

GlobalGiving Joins "YOUR TURN" Campaign to Connect Global Donors with Trusted Local Relief Efforts in Lebanon

April 28, 2026 (WASHINGTON, DC) — GlobalGiving today announced its participation in YOUR TURN, a 10-day, $10 million global fundraising campaign launched by LebNet to support urgent humanitarian relief efforts in Lebanon.

The campaign, running from April 28 through May 7, 2026, brings together a coalition of globally recognized nonprofits—all actively delivering humanitarian aid on the ground in Lebanon—including GlobalGiving, World Central Kitchen, UNICEF, Anera, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), Direct Relief, UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency), Save the Children, Beit El Baraka, and the Lebanese Red Cross.

LebNet is also inviting diaspora groups, Arab-American organizations, universities, corporate employee networks, and other institutions to amplify the campaign by sharing it with their communities throughout the 10-day effort.

Launched by LebNet, YOUR TURN is designed as a direct-action, high-transparency campaign, connecting donors to vetted organizations actively delivering aid on the ground. Donations flow directly through participating nonprofits’ secure platforms, ensuring speed, accountability, and impact.

“GlobalGiving is honored to join YOUR TURN at a critical moment for Lebanon”, said Victoria Vrana, CEO of GlobalGiving. “This campaign is about moving support quickly and directly to trusted, community-led organizations already delivering aid on the ground—reaching families when it matters most.”

As part of the campaign, GlobalGiving is spotlighting ten vetted nonprofit partners working across Lebanon to provide essential services, including emergency medical care, food assistance, shelter, and support for displaced children and families. These organizations have been identified through GlobalGiving’s rigorous vetting process and long-standing commitment to trust-based, locally led philanthropy.

YOUR TURN builds on a proven model pioneered by LebNet and partners following the 2020 Beirut port explosion, which raised more than $9 million in six weeks through a similar direct-to-organization approach. The 2026 campaign expands that model globally, encouraging donors to not only give, but to amplify the campaign through their networks with a simple call to action: “I took my turn. Your turn”

In addition to supporting major international organizations, the campaign also provides pathways for donors to discover and support grassroots groups operating in Lebanon—an area where GlobalGiving’s expertise in vetting and elevating community-based organizations plays a critical role.

Lebanon is in the midst of a devastating humanitarian emergency. More than 1.1 million people have been displaced, with over 2,000 lives lost, including at least 170 children. Nearly 390,000 children are among those displaced. Hospitals are overwhelmed, health workers have been killed, and critical infrastructure—including water systems, roads, and health facilities—has been severely damaged, particularly in southern Lebanon.
