Royal Care Foundation is raising funds to purchase and equip a Mobile Hospital Bus that will deliver essential healthcare services directly to underserved rural communities in Kisii and Nyamira Counties, Kenya. By bringing care to their doorstep, we will reduce the long, costly journeys that delay treatment for children, expectant mothers, and the elderly, ensuring timely diagnosis and preventing treatable conditions from becoming life-threatening emergencies.
In Kisii and Nyamira Counties, Kenya, RCF's medical camps identify hundreds of patients needing follow-up care yearly, yet many go untreated due to poor transport and limited health infrastructure. Children miss vaccinations, expectant mothers miss prenatal care, and the elderly go undiagnosed until crises emerge. Preventable illnesses become emergencies. Rural communities across these counties urgently need consistent, accessible follow-up care that current resources cannot deliver.
Royal Care Foundation will purchase and deploy a fully equipped Mobile Hospital Bus to bring healthcare directly to rural Kisii and Nyamira Counties. It will provide diagnostics, maternal and child care, counseling, and emergency transport, reaching 40+ villages and 15,000+ patients yearly. The bus will also run health education sessions and train local health workers, extending its impact between visits and building lasting healthcare capacity in these communities.
This project will give over 15,000 rural residents in Kisii and Nyamira Counties reliable, ongoing healthcare each year, solving the transportation gap that turns preventable illness into emergencies. Timely vaccinations, prenatal care, and early diagnosis will reduce preventable deaths. Health education and local worker training build lasting community capacity, and this model can expand to reach additional underserved counties over time.
