Active Partner, Leader, and Superstar organizations on GlobalGiving with projects and microprojects including ‘Children’ as the primary or secondary theme are eligible to participate in the Youth Week Campaign.
Note: Before promoting a mircroproject, please ensure the end date of that microproject extends through till the end of Youth Week as GlobalGiving cannot grant extensions.
Emerging organizations (Accelerator participants) are ineligible to participate in this campaign.
The deadline to submit project edits, new projects, project appeals, or project reports is Wednesday, August 1st at 5:00pm EDT.
Recurring Matching Funds:
Recurring donations up to $200 per donor per project started during Youth Week will have the initial donation matched at 100% as long as it remains active for a minimum of four total payments.
The recurring match offer will be active throughout the entire Youth Week Campaign.
Existing recurring donations processed during this week are ineligible for the 100% match.
Recurring donations made by project leaders or staff of the recipient project or organization are not eligible for the recurring match.
Bonus Prizes:
The five projects with the most unique individual donors at the end of the campaign will receive cash prizes of $2,500, $1,000, $800, $500, $200 respectively.
Only projects raising more than $2,000 from at least 20 donors during the campaign will be eligible for cash prizes.
No organization can win more than one cash prize and we recommend that organizations select one project to promote during the campaign.
In the event that there is a tie for one of the top donor prizes, the project with the most funds raised during the campaign will get priority.
Promotional prizes will be awarded to projects that reach the following fundraising levels:
Homepage Time: Projects that raise more than $4,000 from at least 40 donors will receive homepage time on GlobalGiving. Winning organizations will work with GlobalGiving to determine three possible dates to be featured.
Social Media Promotion: Projects that raise more than $1,000 from at least 10 donors will receive social media promotion from GlobalGiving.
Strategy Consultations: Projects that raise more than $5,000 from at least 50 donors will get a personal consultation with GlobalGiving staff in their field of expertise. Topics will range from setting up successful Facebook ad campaigns to strategizing your unique approach corporate partners to improving your brand appeal.
Donation Methods & Disbursements:
Donation eligibility: Online donations made by credit card, debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or an official GlobalGiving gift card or through a GlobalGiving.org fundraiser page will count towards bonus prizes on the Youth Week leaderboard. Online donations must be made by the account or credit card holder.
The following forms of donations are ineligible in this campaign: Cash, check, wire transfers, text-to-give, CAF check, CAF online, donations made by JustGiving, donations through Facebook, donations made on a GlobalGiving corporate or organizational giving site, or donations made directly to an organization rather than a project on the GlobalGiving website.
Unique donors are determined using numerous criteria, including name, email address, credit card number, mailing address, and IP address. We monitor these and other parameters in our system to ensure that only unique, distinct donors are counted towards bonus day prizes.
Please note that GlobalGiving maintains the right to make a final decision on all matters concerning the adjudication of unique donors and final results of the Youth Week Campaign.
Any activity not in the spirit of requesting separate individuals to support donations is being moderated by GlobalGiving, and GlobalGiving reserves the right to permanently disqualify organizations for any attempts of misconduct.
Please note that all donations are final. GlobalGiving cannot change the time, date, or status of a donation after it is processed for any reason.
The exchange rate will be estimated at the time of the donation, but may be subject to change until the donation settles with the donor’s bank or credit card. Funds will be disbursed using the exchange rate based on the settlement value of each transaction.
Donations and bonus prizes from Youth Week will be disbursed in the usual monthly cycle.
