Nonprofit organizations on GlobalGiving with active due diligence and Partner, Leader, or Superstar status will be charged a new fulfillment fee on retail transactions processed on GlobalGiving.org beginning on Sunday, October 1st, 2017 at 12:00:01 am:

• US- and UK-registered organizations will be charged a 5% platform fee, plus 3% processing costs.
• Organizations registered outside the US or the UK will be charged a 7% platform fee plus 3% processing costs.

Organizational Eligibility

• Organizations that began fundraising on GlobalGiving prior to October 1st, 2017, maintain Partner, Leader, or Superstar status, and have active due diligence automatically qualify for the new fulfillment fee on donations made after 12:00:01 am EDT on October 1, 2017.
• Organizations that began fundraising on GlobalGiving on or after October 1st, 2017 must have raised at least $5,001 in retail transactions on GlobalGiving.org and have active due diligence in order to qualify for the new fulfillment fee.

Donation Eligibility
New donations made on GlobalGiving.org by credit card, debit card, PayPal, and Apple Pay, along with checks and wire transfers (“retail” donations) are eligible for the new fee.

Donations which rely on expanded GlobalGiving staff and services or which have been pre-negotiated are ineligible for the new fee, including those related to: corporate partnerships, workplace giving, gift card redemptions, recurring donations started prior to October 1st, 2017, Donor Advised Funds, whitelabel, third-party processors (e.g. text-to-give, APIs), and other means not specified herein. The fees on these donations may range between 5% to 12% depending on the nature of the donation and the agreement set-up with the donor or company. The additional 3% third party payment processing fee always applies. A detailed breakdown of the fee for each donation will be available in your monthly disbursement report.

Tax Efficient Giving
GlobalGiving is a registered nonprofit charity in the United States (US), England, and Wales. Donations made by eligible donors in the US can be claimed as tax-deductible contributions on US tax returns. Donations made by eligible donors in the United Kingdom (UK) can claim Gift Aid–an extra 25% added to eligible donations by the UK Government–when they donate in Great British Pounds.

Fulfillment Fee + Donation to GlobalGiving
GlobalGiving works to keep fees as low as possible while providing great services and resources to our nonprofit partners. The platform fee (5% for US- and UK-registered organizations and 7% for organizations registered outside the US or UK) covers the costs we incur to promote organizations and projects, provide them with fundraising training and tools, offer customer service and nonprofit support, and maintain and improve our online technology in order to keep you connecting with new donors. In addition to the platform fee, all organizations will be charged a 3% processing fee that will cover transactional charges such as credit card, PayPal, and check processing fees.

Donors will be invited to add an optional donation to GlobalGiving to their contribution. By adding a donation to GlobalGiving, donors are investing in nonprofits within the GlobalGiving network by supporting efforts to continue offering high-touch programs and services. Donations made to GlobalGiving will not further reduce either the platform or processing fees on these transactions.
