Project Report | Oct 12, 2026
Sharing our future plans!!!

By Florence Nakayi | Project Leader

As we close the year, our project has been abit slow because most of the young goats ( kids).were dying which was not good. The women were very sad but resilient at the same time they are willing to take this project further. Since we have not been able to buy more goats to the rest of women in the past month we went back and had conversations with the women again and asked what we can do to improve on our project.
The women suggested to start saving alongside goats rearing to boost their financial muscles.  We agreed on what is best and in December will be going back to do share Christmas with the women and choose the committe for the savings cycle. We had earlier on wanted to introduce the savings to them but they didnt see the need at the moment since they were barely earning to feed their families. When the suggestion was brought up agian we grabbed it because we know saving is one of the tools used to have finances in all spheres of life and as we continue to empwer them economically this will be a great stepping stone for them and the project at large.
For better sustainability and development of the project we will buying more goats to be given our in December. According to our budget we will be adding 10 goats to the project which will give more ten women ( family) an opportunity to join in this project. As we have been running low on fund for a couple of year we zeroed down to doing what is in our capacity and we are always amazed at how much little can be impact full and life changing. Thread of life believes that within 10 year through this goats projects many families will be financially empowered and capable to take care of their families by providing education to the children and be able to afford good health jn the community.
As always we never stop being grateful for your unwavering support. May God continue to bless you.
