As Fondation Tous Ensemble (FONTEN) celebrates 10 years of providing rehabilitation services in Haiti, we invite you to help ensure this work continues. Every year, FONTEN provides more than 10,000 therapy sessions to children and adults with disabilities. Yet, while the need for rehabilitation continues to grow, funding for Haiti continues to decline. Your support will help provide life-changing therapy and promote inclusion, independence, and participation.
The need for rehabilitation services in Haiti continues to grow. Humanitarian crises, natural disasters, population aging, traffic accidents, chronic health conditions, and the displacement of families have increased the number of people requiring rehabilitation. At the same time, many rehabilitation centers have closed due to funding shortages, while most remaining services are private and unaffordable for many families. As a result, thousands of Haitians struggle to access the care they need.
This project will help FONTEN provide rehabilitation services to children and adults in Southern Haiti, including occupational and physical therapy, assistive devices, prosthetic and orthotic services, caregiver education, and advocacy for inclusion. These services help people improve function, regain independence, and participate more fully in school, work, family, and community life.
Over the long term, this project will help create a more inclusive Haiti where people have the opportunity to participate fully in their communities. Through access to rehabilitation, assistive devices, and support services, children and adults will improve their independence, exercise their rights, and engage more actively in education, work, family, and community life.
