YTV has progressed as a project through voluntary contributions form media profesisonals and youth volunteers and we are launching is as a platform to train young people and showcase of youth media on 15th February 2013 . An invite to the launch is attached with thus report. Youth Television will be UK's first youth-led online TV Channel and has been designed as a social enterprise with a revenue model and hopes to create 20 paid positions, 200 Training oppurtunities and over a 1000 volunteer placements in the next two years .
Its been a slow start on our fundraising campaighn on Global Giving due to lack of dedicated staff to fundraise actively using Global Giving. We have recently recruited a new fund raising manager with particular expertise in online fundraising so we hope to change this .
We have also developed a database of philanthropists across UK and mainland Europe who support youth projects and media projects in particular and will be targetting them to increase level of fundraising.
We have not spent any funds raised through GlobalGiving and are waiting for them to become substantial before we draw them down.
