As we know - this program is critically important for children and adolescents who are living with epilepsy. This program provides individuals with epilepsy and their families, education about the consequences of epilepsy. People with epilepsy and their families are often not educated about epilepsy's risks, including injury and mortality. Children and youth with epilepsy, as they get older, need increasing information about the disorder and its implications for their future. However, actions are needed to improve education for people with epilepsy and their families – include evaluating available educational resources, such as implementing early epilepsy education and awareness program within our schools, and throughout our community.
