Plans for the 64th London International Youth Science Forum are well underway and a number of high profile speakers have been secured including Nobel Prize Winner Professor Ben Feringa. The Forum will take place between 26th July and 9th August 2023 with our Royal Patron HRH The Princess Royal in attendance.

YoSA is working with multiple partners in Africa to offer scholarships for students from Kenya, South Africa and Zimbabwe to attend this year’s Forum. Through contacts made via the World Science Forum, UNESCO and other routes we are pursuing an extended network of African partners in Ghana, Namibia and Mozambique to further the reach of YoSA and increase the number of African countries represented at the Forum.

We have also undertaken a review of the visa processes to ensure we are well placed to offer full support to scholarship students who will be travelling to London this summer.

Our website has been updated with testimonials from our 2022 scholarship students about their time at the Forum including

Stephen from Kenya: “These have been the best two weeks of my life. They were full of love, fun and knowledge. I had made friends from different parts of the world including, Tanzania, my neighboring country. I believe that these friendship bonds formed will last a lifetime and serve as a stepping stone in making the world a better place”.

Innocent from Tanzania: “As a YoSA student I was able to show that that Africa has scientists who are eager and diligent to bring positive changes and solutions through science”.
