Thank you for continued support in supporting provision of healthcare services to the underserved population in Mwanza, Tanzania.
Study report 9 out of 10 street connected children are infected with schistosomiasis. Since April, 2023 we have started to provide Mass Drug Administration to the street connected children for neglected tropical diseases (Schistosomiasis and Soil transmitted Helminths)
We have reached 156 street connected children and we targets to reach 400 street connected children by December, 2023.
In the period of tree months we have managed to train new first responders for the Mwanza Community Emergency Response and the number of responses has been increasing as times go.
We are looking for further support to ensure the underserved populations access friendly and quality healthcare services.
