Greetings Partners and Friends
On 9th March, 2023 Bisou Bailey Medical Dispensary under Tanzania Rural Health Movement managed to support a woman to give birth to her fifth baby. This was the first time to provide delivery services at the medical dispensary since the launching of the medical dispensary in April 2021.
Since our last report, among other activities we managed to equip the maternity room with equipment such as delivery bed, delivery set and others to ensure the women who attend the RCH clinic at our facility can access the delivery services as well. As we report the baby and her parents are doing well.
Also we managed to host a paramedic from Kenya under CHEAR ME coalition where he facilitated 4 day training to 20 participants (TRHM staff and First Responders). The training targeted to capacitate the first responders to respond to their routine emergency care services across the city.
For next three months, we will continue to scale the services including providing screening and treatment of schistosomiasis among the street connected children as well as community sensation to access the toll free number 0800 750 112 for responding to medical emergencies outside the hospital and to sensitize the expectant mother to use our facility to give birth.
