I just returned from the field in Cambodia and was so excited by all that is happening with the yoga trainees. Each girl has grown so much within herself and in her craft since the last time I was there. They had a special time of advanced training in Siem Reap with a master yogi, where they were able to not only learn new skills but connect with their minds and hearts and come to an even greater place of inner strength. The result was the completion of a 52-hour yoga therapy course.
Each girl is studying English two hours a day and it was so much fun to be able to have a deeper conversation with them. They are also spending time learning about anatomy and philosophy, two very advanced subjects which they are absorbing like college students. As I watched them guiding other survivors and children through classes I was filled with pride at all they have accomplished and what their futures hold.
