Utila is relatively stable at the moment. We're currently still working on bringing in fire protective equipment, which is waiting to clear customs. There is a need for funds to repair buoys, which we may start fundraising for in the coming months. Additionally, we have secured a volunteer psychologist who will be working with the students at the public school on Utila, which will be slated to start mid to end of this month.
Covid rates continue to be stable on Utila, and tourism has remained slower than usual, but steadily picking up.
We have been also helping a few locals with basic necessities as needed, and continue our other programs working with the Jasper's Animal Shelter, the Utopia Vilage Project and distributing product donations when received.
