Dear YEA Camp supporters,
Tomorrow is the first day of our staff training for our first of 3 YEA Camp sessions this summer, and as we pack up our supplies for camp, I am struck by my gratitude for all of you who help make YEA Camp happen. Thanks to you, we are about to embark on our sixth summer, and we are poised to make this our best ever. You can follow everything we do on Facebook - so if you don't already "like us," please do!
This summer we certainly have our best staff yet. Bringing together incredible staff members from around the country, these are some of the best role models change-making teens could ask for. Our staff have master's degrees in teaching, are founders of nonprofit organizations, and have many years of experience advocating for various social justice causes. Our team has expertise in advancing social justice through theater, political campaigns, art, and many other innovative means. Our campers are as incredible as ever, too! With campers from over a dozen states and Mexico, we will be training some of the most ambitious and compassionate teenagers on the planet who really want to change the world. Choosing to address critically important issues including climate change, bullying, gun control, animal protection, gay rights, and many others, YEA Campers leave camp with so much more confidence and clarity to make a difference on a cause they care about.
Thanks to donations like yours to our scholarship fund, we have provided about half of our campers with some need-based scholarship so that they can attend camp. We cannot thank you enough for helping to make it possible for these amazing young people to come to YEA Camp, and we promise to honor your donation and their time by giving all of our best to ensure that each camper has a transformative experience that catalyzes them in their future activism. Any additional support that you are able to offer at this time will help us fund our deposits on our camp venues for next year and our long-term growth!

We are about to start camp in Oregon, but there is still time to register for our camps in California and Massachusetts.
