Youth Taking The High School Equivalency Exam

Young sex trafficking victims are unable to attend regular school because of trauma and chaotic lifestyles. Our case management is critical to the stabilization of students who need skills to escape prostitution.

Our FREE, ONE on ONE, ONLINE TUTORING program is portable anywhere in the world and a student may sign-in via email just prior to each tutoring session no matter where they are located. By using Zoom online video communications, the student works face to face with their personalized tutor 2 to 3 times a week.

There are no fees. A student only needs a mobile device and Wi-Fi and a commitment to 2 to 3 hours a week of consistent tutoring. Most students can successfully pass the high school equivalency with 50 hours of tutoring – the cost of $750.

Supervised tutoring is provided online from our headquarters in Los Angeles, California and our tutoring is 24/7 in ANY language.

Many of our students have the SAME TUTOR throughout their education with us.

Children of the Night WOW even helps with college applications and federal financial aid so the gatekeepers to legitimate jobs and mainstream society can no longer lock these children out of a future.

Since 2011, Children of the Night has helped over 250 young sex trafficking victims pass the High School Equivalency Exam.

In 2020 there were 3,186 tutoring hours provided to 112 students in 15 states. Despite COVID challenges, 15 passed the high school equivalency and 31 passed portions of the high school equivalency exam (4 portions).

There were 97 female students, 14 male and 1 transgender making up Latino's, African Americans and Caucasians respectively.

58% of these young people were between 16 and 24 years of age. They were referred mostly by Social Workers, Friends, Relatives, Drop In Centers, Alumni of the Children of the Night program, Drug Programs and others.
