Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your interest in the World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned awareness activities have not yet begun.
Across many rural communities in Nigeria, awareness of cervical cancer remains very low. Many women misunderstand the disease, sometimes linking symptoms to spiritual causes, which delays timely medical care.
This lack of accurate information leads to late diagnosis, when treatment becomes more difficult and outcomes are poorer. Limited access to clear guidance and referral support further worsens the situation.
This project is designed to set up public information booths on November 17, 2026, where trained volunteers will provide education in local languages. Sessions will cover causes, symptoms, prevention, and available care options. Women will also be guided on where to access screening and treatment services.
With the right support, more women can receive accurate information, seek early screening, and reduce the risk of late-stage illness.
We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this project can begin and reach communities that need reliable health information.
Thank you for your kindness and continued support.
Sincerely,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
