The Women's Voice Project is an initiative focused on empowering women in the remote and underserved district of Humla, Nepal. Launched by NAPO, the project aims to address social, economic, and health challenges faced by women in this region, particularly those from marginalized communities.
Women face significant challenges, including deep-rooted gender inequality and limited access to education, healthcare, and economic resources. Many are unaware of their rights, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation, abuse, and poor health outcomes. Gender-based violence is widespread, worsened by the lack of safe spaces and support systems. Women from marginalized groups also suffer from social exclusion, further restricting their opportunities.
This project will address the challenges faced by women by providing education and raising awareness about their rights, empowering them to protect themselves from exploitation and abuse. It will improve access to essential services like healthcare and economic resources, enhancing their overall well-being. The project will also create safe spaces and support systems to combat gender-based violence, offering protection and assistance to those in need.
This project aims to empower women by raising awareness of their rights, reducing gender-based violence, and improving access to education, healthcare, and economic resources. By establishing safe spaces and support systems, it will create a lasting, supportive environment. The inclusion of marginalized women will foster social cohesion, leading to sustainable, transformative change in the community.
