NAPO staff members have been continuously conducting activities under the Women's Voice Project. The current season in Nepal is autumn, a time for harvesting. As part of the project initiatives, 50 women have successfully harvested crops from their summer greenhouses and planted vegetable seeds for the upcoming season. Additionally, 38 women have collected honey from their beehives, and 20 women have harvested mushrooms and sold them in the market. These activities have provided the women with a modest income to help fulfill their family's basic needs. The women involved in these initiatives have expressed increased confidence and pride in their ability to contribute to household expenses.

A weekly women's radio program has been broadcasted from two local radio stations as part of the project. These episodes have featured discussions with invited experts on topics such as maternal health and legal issues. The radio program has also provided a platform for women to raise their voices on critical social issues, including child marriage, polyandry practices, and the environmental and sanitation conditions of Simikot town.

NAPO, with financial support from TEWA (Women's Fund for Nepal), has conducted climate change and disaster awareness training sessions for 300 women. The training covered key topics such as the definition of climate change, its causes and effects, and the concepts of disaster management and disaster risk management. Participants also discussed the history of disasters that have occurred in Simikot and surrounding areas, along with strategies for disaster prevention, mitigation, and adaptation.

Looking ahead to the next quarter, the project will focus on supporting women in winter vegetable production, providing summer seeds, and promoting summer vegetable cultivation. These efforts aim to further empower women through agricultural activities and enhance their contribution to household and community resilience.
