Women's Rights in 28 Villages in Cameroon Africa

By Giddy, Celine, Sam, Bertrand, Rose,Loveline | Project Leaders

Greetings To Our Donors and Supporters;

Your donations and support goes a long way to help our Women Empowerment Leadership Team and Department provide the necessary leadership and training for our women and girls who have been born into a male dominated environment in which their legal rights to become all that they can become have been denyed them for the past generations.  During this past quarter our Women Empowerment Leadership Team stepped up and got involved with activities that expanded the understanding of the role of communication in project implementation, sharing knowledge of sound communication skills and the principles of partnerships  and creatively using social networks to  achieve its mission of the empowerment of women and girls.

Despite the lock down days and ghost days our women leaders were able to safely travel into the field to inform the Mayor, DO and Executive Director at the Guest House Headquarters of past, present and future programs and changes and support that could be expected from our BHO Headquarters in Yaounde, the Capital City in Cameroon. The next major upcoming event is for our organization to plan the joint events that will celebrate the second annual Memorial Day for our founder and leader the late Pa John Ticha who mandated that females would be given equal opportunity to excel in our organization on April 24, 2023.  Despite the warnings from the State Department, the Women Empowerment Leaders believe that  without their show of courage and going into the jungle and villages where many women and girls are still hiding as a result of the Civil conflict that the women and girls would continue to be left out and behind in terms of benefiting from the opportunities presented by our organization that will be offered at the Guest House Center in Zang Tabi.

We have received the state certificate for basic education programs and we are planning to host various training classes at the Guest House under the leadership of the Executive Director.  We will offer training and classes that will produce jobs and job development opportunities.   Kudos to the Women Empowerment Leaders and Team members.

Our Women Empowerment Leadership Team took time out from their busy schedules to collaborate and support the Governance Council and the Human Resource Department to implement our annual Thanksgiving Feed The People Project by providing a hot meal for members of our staff and local volunteers.  In addition to working with the Human Resource Department to distribute funds to local churches and programs for orphange children to provide a hot traditional Western meal to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.  HRD reported that over 500 Adults and children were fed in several locations.   The President of the Governance Council is a female which demonstrates that our organization is promoting the fact that women can be just as effective as men in our society.

In addition to assisting the Human Resource Department to implement our annual Thanksgiving Feed The People Feast, the team members were actively involved in sharing their resources to assist the Human Resource Department with providing funds and supervising at various churches that were hosting Toys For Tots Day for over 500 children ranging in ages from 3 to 10.  This year the two annual programs were expanded to support families in our affiliates in Doula, Cameroon and Liberia, Africa.  Our Women Empowerment Leadership Team's focus here is to operate pursuant to a strategic plan including a strategic marketing plan that focus on highlighting the importance of women and and girls in leadership roles.

The Women Empowerment Team members have been busy studying and planning for the induction of our members into our newly formed Satellite Rotary Club of Tyrone, GA - USA in Cameroon Africa during the first week of March 2023.  Currently the host Rotary Club in Tyrone, GA-USA is in the process of registering new members with the International Rotary Club.    The good news is that our Assistant Executive Chairperson is a female.  She along with the other Women Empowerment Team will be able to implement the Rotary 4 Way Test, Objectives of Rotary and the 20 reasons that one should become a Rotarian.   As previously discussed above, the foundation or basis of working in an NGO like the Rotary Club is the law on freedom of association, and the enabling laws or legal framework for the creation and operation of an organization that will provide relief from enslavement of our women and girls for future generations.

We are determined to open doors and make ways for our women and girls to excel and become all that they can become using their God given rights to develop the necessary skills and qualifications to determine and achieve the jobs and careers of their personal choice.  We are continuing to grow and help our women and girls who were deprived of their human rights for past generations to become all that they can become.  We ask that you continue to open your hearts and your pockets to provide us with the support to get the job done.  Please accept our sincere appreciations and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.

Kind Regards,

Women Empowerment Team
