Updates From JRCCA

By Comfort ,Giddy Celine | Project Leaders

Greetings To Our Donors and Supporters:

We would like to remind our donors and supporters that our team and organization has been working very hard to implement the concept of global social responsibility in the English speaking NW Region of Cameroon, Africa.  Those concepts are to improve health, education, living conditions, clean water, and the economy while reducing poverty in the families, villages, communities, regions that will enhance the nation of Cameroon through developing leadership skills and training for our women and girls using adult and basic educational training.

Despite the fact that a Civil War is still ongoing in the English speaking NW/SW Region of Cameroon, according to report from the President the JRCCA team in Yaounde continue to work on the Application Form for grants from the US Embassy in Yaounde that we will use to help finance our basic education training and leadership program for our women and girls. The fundraising Chairman and  Human Resource Director  submitted a letter for assistance and requested partnership for the Ministry of Social Affairs and Basic Education in Yaounde to collaborate with our team to implement resources to help us assist our women and girls to achieves their SMART GOALS and ACTION STEPS for leadership development in the English speaking NW/SW Region of Cameroon..

The application forms were received from the ministry of Basic Education which were in French language and have been translated into the English language. The reason for the  Forms to be translated in English language is for the JRCCA Volunteers to know all that is written in the Forms and also to know how we can complete them.  This is important to note because this is one of the primary reason for the Civil unrest in the English speaking NWSW Region.  In Cameroon, the dominant leadership group is French speaking, therefore, important legal documents are published in French which creates a competative problem for resources for the English speaking people in the NWSW Region.

The President  further reported that all Zonal directors  have been contacted for updates and that communication in the English speaking NW Region is another challenge that we have to deal with in additional to the unsafe Civil conflict which is still present in the area.  For example when there is a lock-down, the people living in the area are not allowed to be outside of their residency.  Lock down occurs frequently.  The Human Resource Department is working on setting up Cyber-Cafe to help resolve the problem of lack of communication with the main office in Yaounde.

When possible SNT leaders have been holding meetings and discussing  how to raise money  in preparation for planting more plantains, Cocoyams, palm trees, yams, rice etc.. on the JRCCA Multi-Purpose Center  Foundation Stone at Tonekoh ZangTabi in Zone 1 and also seeing how to continue with their freewill basket donations to be saved in the JRCCA zone one Credit Union Bank in order for them to start Garden project and cassava farm during the planting season.  A group of 30 women have formed a group to raise crops to sell and provide food for their families and communities.

A female SNT leader in Zone four has been promoted to the title and position of Zone Director with the responsibilities of opening our branch office at JACIM at least four hours each day to provide services and resources for members to hold meetings.  This office is located in one of the few safe areas in the English speaking NW Region and will be available to help expand the leadership training and development for women and girls.  This is the Zone where they have created their "JRCCA American Corner in Mbengwi, NWR" {JACIM} with the support of the Lord Mayor and the City Council.

Two partnership request letters were submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs Yaoundé  by  the Chairman of JRCCA Fundraising Committee and HRD  and to the English Roman Catholic church Simbock Yaoundé by the Manager of Legal Department  and the President of JRCCA.  We  have also sent the  MOU  between Mfoundi Rotary club Yaounde and JRCCA NGO for review for our partnership and collaboration with other Rotary Clubs on the international level.

We are thankful and grateful for the donations and support of our friends and we are looking forward to implementing our SMART GOALS and ACTION STEPS that will benefit the Women and Girls in the English speaking NW Region of Cameroon which will ehnance the lives of our families in Cameroon. We will overcome the challenges of the Civil conflict, Pandemic, lack of education and training that will benefit our Women and Girls with help from our donors and supporters.

Kind Regards
