The view from the ground is often the best way to understand why health information is vitally important to a community. Sadhiq Pharm, the Director of Adaiyaalam, describes the situation this way:
“Women prefer to have women doctors but there are very few of them especially in rural areas. Most care comes from village health workers, who need copies of “Where Women Have No Doctor.”
Any money raised by this campaign will make these books a reality. Each book, in turn, will support community health workers in caring for women’s health. Each health worker will then empower an average of 40 women with information, so that they are each able to advocate for their health as well. We hope you will share this campaign, and help Adaiyaalam meet their goal!
