Hope in Despair – Support Sudanese Families
Dear GlobalGiving Community,
As #GivingTuesday nears, we share the resilience of Sudanese families displaced by relentless conflict. Forced from their homes, they endure unimaginable hardships—hunger, thirst, cold, and despair.
Meet Nadia, a mother from Darfur:
Testimonial "My name is Nadia, and I am from El Fasher, El Gadie neighborhood. I was displaced twice—first to the market and then to a farm, where my children and I now seek refuge under a tree due to relentless missile attacks. Life here is unimaginably hard. I am a mother of four, including one child with a disability. Before Darfur Women Network and GlobalGiving reached out to us, we had no choice but to eat Umbaz- byproduct from peanut oil companies that is typically used as animal feed—just to have something to eat. I never expected to receive food, milk, and drinking water. Your support has been a miracle for my family and me. Now, we have life-saving essentials that give us hope. Still, we sleep on the cold, bare ground with only a thin mat. Winter has arrived, and we have no blankets or other necessities. I am far from my family and have no one to rely on. Despite these ongoing challenges, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Darfur Women Network and GlobalGiving for your compassion and generosity. You have brought light to a very dark time in our lives. Thank you for remembering us and for providing us with the support that helps us to survive." Thank you for giving us hope."
Thanks to your generosity:
