Training of women in AWARD training center
Thank you for your donations of USD 4195 which is helping young girls from poor and marginalized background to get trained in diversified skills. AWARD Pakistan has initiated several income generation courses (Make up art, Industrial Stitching, Mobile repairing for girls and Computer basics). which have been started in its resource center in Faisalabad
Two batches of women and girls have successfully completed these courses and are now in process of establishing their own businesses or getting a job through the skill.
In August 2022, AWARD Pakistan organized a certificate awarding ceremony for the girls who completed their training at AWARD Women Resource Center. The girls completed their courses in Beautification . Nearly 105 girls completed their courses and received their certification . These training will give these poor girls a chance to improve their socio-economic situation and to break taboos which do not allow these girls to propser. The girls were extremely excited after receiving the certification as they will now be in a position to earn and support their families.
As more and more girls are getting enrolled into our courses, therefore AWARD needs an extension in its building as it needs to build a training hall (for the capacity of 40 people) to train marginalized, school dropout and unskilled girls of Faisalabad in new trades.AWARD requires another USD 18,000 and for this urgent need. The training hall will be construct the following training: 1) Adult Literacy 2) Financial Literacy 3) Digital Freelancing 4) Jam making, Pickle Making, chicken farming 5) Educational seminars (Environment, Mother and Child Health, COVID-19 precauions, Importance of ID Card) 6) Traffic Rules 7) Communication skills 8) Life Skills 9) Marketing and Digital Marketing Skills 10) Income generation courses for girls and women 11) Cookies and Biscuits making 12) Commercial Cooking 13) Toffee making and Many more courses for the girls to sustain their livelihood and support their families.
