Dear Friends!
I hope you will enjoy the Summer Issue of our News Magazine “Setu Marches” which carries success stories. Volunteers, parents and of course our dedicated staff and their hard work is the backbone of these success stories.
This period also saw the first batch of our students passed class 10th and got admitted in different schools for higher education. It has taken us a long way to reach where we are and we still have to go a long way.
During the quarter April- June 2015 the Key Feature was new learning both for students and staff.
The Annual Summer Camp held from 10th May to 29th May 2015. This year the Summer Camp was very different. Our students learned to create best out of waste and created materials for fund raising from recycled products. They made napkin holder, coasters, fancy flowers and paper bags. Students also learned to write and enact skit and participated in the dances workshop. The IT Skill Center students learnt movie making and enjoyed a lot.
The focus during the quarter was also towards Staff Training with started off on 11th April 2015 with a workshop for all staff on Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace. It was an eye opener for many members and gave a clear picture on behavioural practice at work place and finally ended with healthy interactive discussion.

And finally it is about Neha’s Success story - Neha was 10 years old when joined Setu, and at that ime she aimed to become an Inspector. She was studying in class 4th. Her father Ashok Kumar is a labourer by profession. Her father’s monthly income was Rs 1800 pm which supported their family of 5. Her favourite hobby is drawing. They stay in 509 JJ Colony Sector – 16, Noida. In the academic session 2013-14 she completed her senior secondary school with first division. After that she joined B.Sc from IGNOU.On completion of class 12th as per the Setu scholarship policy she was entitled of scholarship and Setu sponsored her higher studies which she is continuing from IGNOU.
