Women Empowerment for Sustainable Development

Thank you very much for your continued support towards this sustainable project.

The piggery project is at promising and production stage: 8 pigs have already farrowed and 10 more pigs are producing piglets in a near future. Through pig’s manure and piglets produced, the families are able to solve their problems related to the basic needs of their families and also some of them before had no access to the medication services. But today they are able to pay Community Based Health Insurance (Mituelle)

 This project is gradually becoming successful and testimonies of one of Aspire Rwanda beneficiaries can easily confirm this:

” My family is now confident because of this piggery project become the resource of generating family income and Manures. My family is now able to easily make more fertile my kitchen garden such that my family can easily afford on time green vegetables. This time when my pig has just farrowed 5 piglets, I will be able to take them to the market and money earned will be used to purchase school materials and payment the school fees “reported by one of Aspire’s beneficiaries.

“I have been given pig which has produced piglets this time, It was helped me to buy Medical Insurance by selling pig manure and also the pig manure helping me to fertilise my kitchen garden. In this hard time, I take this opportunity to thank the supporters for their support” Aspire benefiary

Some of the beneficiaries said that they expect a boom in their daily incomes to end their total dependence on the NGO.

“I can testify that the pig I was given will wean me from total dependence on Aspire Rwanda. For example, I’ll be affording health insurance and school fees for my children because I’ll be earning from my pig project” Aspire beneficiary said.

“I will afford clothing for myself, I can even visit child at school, and I’ll get manure and increase the productivity of my crops. There is a lot I expect from this pig” Aspire beneficiarysaid. “

Aspire Rwanda has done a good thing form. I will also pass on the opportunity to others by sharing the piglets” Aspire beneficiarysaid.

Aspire Rwanda team and beneficiaries will continue to work closely towards the most important cause: reduce extreme family poverty with better. We don’t doubt this is one of the most important activities to improve the beneficiaries’ socio- economic standards.
