FED and WEDA would like to extend our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to those who have generously contributed to the Women’s Education and Development Association’s Global Giving campaign, aimed at providing educational workshops for Burmese migrant women in Thailand.
Because of your support, WEDA has been able to continue hosting three Women Exchanges every month. During the most recent Exchange in Kuraburi on December 6th, the women spoke with FED’s Medic about health related issues, concerns and preventative measures. In addition, computer-training classes have been offered to help improve the women’s computer literacy, providing them with new work opportunities.
As WEDA continues to raise awareness and provide new opportunities for these women, we hope that during this holiday season, you will ask your family and friends for a donation on your behalf, to the WEDA Holiday Campaign. Please continue to make a difference in the lives of Burmese migrant women!
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
