2017 proved to be a horrific season for storms in the United States. It was the first time COHI experienced a disaster so close to our headquarters, and it was both a challenge and an honor to be able to help our neighbors who were affected by Hurricane Harvey.
As we mentioned in earlier reports, we hired one of the hurricane refugees to help us distribute all of the cash gifts that were made possible by your generous donations. And we're happy to announce that we've hired her on to help us with our Texas advocacy program in 2018!
One of the remaining gaps in care in Texas is contraception access for refugees- and that's what we're hoping to accomplish in 2018. We welcome your help!
