Thanks to your support, we have recently been able to provide 6 group psychological support sessions and 9 individual counseling consultations for women and girls who have experienced violence. In addition, we distributed 27 dignity kits containing essential hygiene supplies and basic necessities.
Alongside individual counseling, we place special emphasis on group sessions with a psychologist. This format helps participants feel supported by other women, overcome feelings of isolation, and discuss their concerns in a safe and confidential environment. During these sessions, women receive practical tools to cope with stress, anxiety, and the effects of traumatic experiences.
As part of the group sessions, we actively use metaphorical associative cards. This method is particularly valuable when participants find it difficult to openly discuss painful experiences, emotions, or personal challenges. Metaphorical cards help women express feelings through images and associations, making it easier to identify emotions, explore internal resources, and gain new perspectives on difficult situations. The use of these tools creates a safe and non-judgmental space for self-reflection and personal growth.
We have observed that participants become more engaged in discussions, demonstrate greater openness, and report increased self-awareness after these exercises. Many women note that the sessions help them better understand their emotional state, recognize their strengths, and develop healthier coping strategies. As a result, participants often leave the sessions feeling more confident, emotionally supported, and empowered to address challenges in their daily lives.
An important component of our group work is raising awareness about women's rights, available protection mechanisms, and access to legal, social, and psychological support services. Our goal is not only to support the emotional recovery of women and girls but also to empower them with knowledge and resources that help them make informed decisions and feel more confident about their future.
We are sincerely grateful for your contribution to this work. Thanks to your support, women and girls facing difficult circumstances receive not only essential assistance but also an opportunity to rebuild their sense of safety, confidence, and control over their lives.
