As winter sets in, Aseel has been providing vital winter assistance packages to families in need. These packages include firewood, winter clothing for children, jackets, hats, and other essential items to help families survive the harsh cold. Through this campaign, we’ve been able to support over 100 individuals, many of whom are street-working children, striving to earn a small income for their families. We also reached out to widowed women, the sole providers for their families, often with 5–6 children. The winter items have made a tangible difference, helping them stay warm and safe during the season.
However, these families continue to face many challenges. The cold only intensifies their struggles, as many still lack proper food, clean water, and warm living conditions. The children, who have been forced to work instead of attending school, are particularly affected. Our goal is to continue offering support, not just with winter essentials, but also by helping these children return to their studies. We are committed to providing food and warmth, as well as creating opportunities for education, so they can build a better future despite their difficult circumstances.
These efforts also aim to ease the burden on widowed mothers who struggle daily to provide for their children. In Afghanistan, life becomes harder with each passing day. Many families live in tents or damaged houses with no heating or adequate resources. The cold intensifies the already dire conditions, making it harder for families to survive.
While these families don’t ask for much, they need just a little help to stay warm and survive the winter. Your support can offer hope and a chance for a better life, providing relief for those who often feel forgotten and overlooked. Even a small act of kindness can make all the difference in their fight to overcome adversity.
