Help Care for Rescued Animals in Cambodia

Thank you for your ongoing monthly support of our Care for Rescued Wildlife program. Because of donors like you, we've been able to help care for and rehabilitate rescued wildlife at places like the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre.

We're writing to let you know that Wildlife Alliance is concluding the Care for Rescued Wildlife program. This allows us to focus our resources on the Southern Cardamom and Samkos REDD+ Projects, which protect vast areas of forest habitat, including for many of the same species this program has supported over the years. We have worked with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on a responsible transition of these activities to local Cambodian management, which was completed.

Since we started this project on GlobalGiving in 2009, with your support, we have:

• Rescued over 16,000 animals and cared for them at Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre
• Supported the birth of 1,113 animals, many of them endangered species later released into the wild
• Released over 12,000 animals back into their natural habitat, strengthening Cambodia's biodiversity

Many of you followed the journeys of our elephants Chhouk and Lucky, and welcomed the arrival of new babies Chanam and Lomphat. You helped us fund a new food truck, followed along as we hand-raised rescued infant animals, and supported the construction of a new water filtration system.

Your monthly gift will automatically be redirected by GlobalGiving to support the Cardamom Forest Protection Program, so your generosity will continue protecting the same forests and wildlife without any action needed on your part. If you'd prefer to choose a different project, you can update your giving preferences anytime in your GlobalGiving account.

We are grateful for your support and for every animal you help save. Thank you for being part of this journey.
