Hello from Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort (AWARE)!
We hope you're having a great end to your summer. We are happy to announce that we have finalized the design for our rehabilitation flight cage. The design specs are attached for you to view.
Now that we have our design finalized, we are assembling a dedicated group of volunteers to help us build the individual panels that will make up the entire flight cage. If you are in the Atlanta area and have basic (or advanced!) carpentry skills (framing, leveling, etc.), we'd love to have you on our construction team as we move forward to completion of the first half of the project. If you would like to help, contact us at help@awarewildlife.org.
Once we have the flight cage constructed, we will begin focusing our attention on the mammal rehabilitation enclosure, which will help us live-test animals such as raccoons, foxes, and coyotes to ensure they are ready for release to the wild.
We are so excited to be able to grow our rehabilitation efforts, and we couldn't have done it without your support!
We would also like to invite you to our upcoming 3rd Annual Art for Armadillos Art Auction on Thursday, Oct 2, from 7-9pm. This year's event will be held at The Solarium in Decatur's historic Oakhurst Village. Enjoy an evening of live music, hors d'oeuvres, and bidding on local art -- all in support of AWARE!
