Giving Back to Wildlife

By Jennifer Cunningham | Center Manager

When "Honey" first came in
When "Honey" first came in

You've helped us meet the challenge and we succeeded!  Thank You!

WildCare Inc.’s first goal of $5,000 was actually exceeded by over $1,000--thanks to all
of you who donated during the Global Giving Challenge!

Because you helped us meet our goals in this challenge, we get to keep our doors open
for another baby season. Plus we have some much-needed funds to buy food,
medicine and other supplies needed by our wild patients. This is all because of
your donations and the Global Giving network that people can see worldwide
giving our wildlife a voice they need.

WildCare’s mission to care for all injured, sick or orphaned wildlife started in 2001 at
the brink of baby season and has been going strong for the last 12 years. We
have helped over 16,000 wild ones. Our goal to continue to give the care needed
for the next 50 years.

One person can make a tremendous difference.

There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the
time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the
story it has to tell.

The little Red Fox in the pictures below was brought to us starving, extremely dehydrated
with a deep wound after being attacked by a pack of dogs in early spring 2012. She was unable to
stand due to the wound had shredded the arm muscle and infection had set in.
We called her “Honey” because we did honey wraps for several weeks to heal the
wound.  She survived and recovered, stronger than ever. She was released in late October. The land owner who
allowed us to release her on his property says she is doing well and has taken to her new freedom very well.

Your donations will allow us to help so many more injuries like "Honey's"

Without habitat, there is no wildlife. It is that simple

On behalf of our wild friends and the entire WildCare family, thank you.
