The Catalyst Students Project, initiated and implemented by Teach For Mongolia, is entering its third year in the 2026–2027 academic year. This year, the project engages 30 teachers and 470 students from 15 schools across 13 soums in eight provinces. The project supports rural students in developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence to address climate and environmental challenges in their communities.
The project held its kick-off event on October 8–9, 2026, in Ulaanbaatar, bringing together participating teachers and student representatives to begin this year’s activities. Teach for Mongolia sincerely appreciates the school leaders whose support makes this collaboration possible and wishes all participating teachers and students a successful year of learning, collaboration, and action.
Participating students have completed Module 1, which focused on climate change and included hands-on experiments. Through these activities, students explored key climate concepts and connected their learning with practical observations, building a foundation for further learning and action throughout the project.
