Drive to feed & save Rescue Horses & Burros

Your donations help make it possible for us to provide for a continuum of quality care for many at-risk horses and burros in need. We are so grateful to have you as a part of our Wild For Life community, sharing our journey to help feed and protect at-risk horses and burros in need.

Feed costs are absolute and ongoing for the lifespan of each rescued horse & burro, but the price of hay has continued to skyrocket due to inflation, extreme weather and the rising cost of fuel. More and more horses and burros have become at risk due to the escalating rise in hay prices and this also impacts the ability of equine rescue and sanctuary organizations like ours to accommodate horses and burros in need.

As a charity, keeping a good supply of hay available at all times is a challenge. That’s why ongoing and regular donations are so urgently needed to help assure quality care for these majestic animals who have already been through so much. That’s why this project is so essential!

WFLF’s rescue and crisis assistance missions have saved hundreds of starving horses and burros over the years—the majority of whom would likely otherwise starved to death, or would have gone to slaughter without the meaningful support of devoted supporters like you.

Nutritional hay is life for horses and burros!

Support received through WFLF’s Hay Donation Drive helps to fund the purchase and delivery of high-quality food which provides nutritional meals for horses and burros in need, regardless of their origin/ breed, age, gender, or lack of training.

This special hay donation project helps to fill the immediate and ongoing need to feed at-risk horses and burros that would otherwise go without, and it advocates for their care and protection. At-risk horses and burros served by WFLF are provided with quality nutritious food, loving care, and safe and peaceful habitats. Their healing and triumph over starvation and hunger in turn inspires good will, hope and compassion.

Our small dedicated all-volunteer crew is willing to do the hard work involved, but we are only able to succeed with your continued support. At Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF), we witness 100s of transformations that are made possible by thoughtful donations from caring people like you!  The story of Lily Sienna stands testimony to your compassion and kindness, and the work your support enables us to do. 

When we first rescued Lily Sienna she was so frail and weak she could barely walk. She was a shivering skeleton with fur. This once treasured companion horse had lost everything - even her hope .  Her human companion had fallen onto hard times, could no longer afford to feed her and she was at risk of cruel slaughter.  But his once shattered life and broken body was fully transformed through your kind and generous donations.  Lily Sienna made a full recovery and became a permanent member of our senior rescue horse sanctuary family!
