The Sega Girls School is Using Its Own Water

A year ago, we asked you to help us fund a rainwater capture system for the Sega Girls School.

Thanks to your support, the system is complete and the Sega Girls School has been using its very own water supply since mid-February.

According to Geoffrey Lubega, the Sega School bookkeeper, "The 300,000 liter cistern, if it remains full, can save the school $1,850 per month". More than that, there is plenty of water for the expanding poultry farm, and to irrigate the fruit and vegetable gardens.

We now ask you to help us with another Sega Girls School project - we are aiming to raise $7,000 for beds and blankets for the 30 students who will join the School in June 2013.

Please help us give 30 more vulnerable girls an education and a safe space to learn and grow, empowering them to break free of poverty.

Today, now, Global Giving is offering a bonus of 30% to all donations, so please make your donation now, and make 30% more of a difference!
