When she was a soldier in the IDF, a growth was discovered in her brain. She’s now 26.
She used to be beautiful but six years of steroids and operations have left their mark. A few months ago she went through a complicated surgery that saved her life – but left her in a wheel chair.
Last Wednesday she seemed a little sluggish and sleepy, but when she picked up the paintbrush, she knew exactly where she’s going.
We took this photo at the last Art Therapy workshop at the Tel Hashomer hospital, rehabilitation department.
The Art Therapy workshop is active every Wednesday afternoon, and gathers patients from the Rehabilitation department.
We need your help in funding the materials we use: the canvas, paints and brushes. Everyone involved, including the artists and teachers, volunteer their time.
