During the past three months HasNa and the two partner organizations have finalized the selection of the participants, issued official Invitations letters for all of them and applied for getting visa in Turkey and Armenia. All selected participants have successfully received their visas and now are getting ready for the trip.
All arrangements are being done with the hostel and travel agencies.
In addition the above mentioned administrative works and logistics, we have also contacted number of organizations and checked the volunteer opportunities with them.
In the result, we have agreements with six organizations based in DC, Maryland and Virginia, where theVITA participants are planning to go and help with their activities.
Our partner organizations are City Year DC, A wider Circle, Bikes for the World, The National Zoo, DC Central Kitchen, and BrainFood. In addition, we came to agreement with some other organizations to provide training courses on peacebuilding and volunteering. In that HasNa is partnering with the Center for Dispute Settlement, The International Association for Volunteer Efforts, Youth Service America, Meridian International and finally The Air and Space Museum.
Currently we work on finalizing the agenda, preparing the students’ handbooks and organizing all other program related stuff.
We at HasNa are thankful to all our partner organizations, who regularly support our initiatives!
