To all our supporters, thank you so much for you ongoing commitment to our mission!
Volunteer in Portland had a very successful Spring and end to the Junior League 2011-2012 year! 32 amazing women attended the 2nd Annual Leadership Summit on May 12! The high energy that everyone contributed to this event made for another successful and powerful Leadership Summit!
Healthy Habits, Healthy Kids had volunteers who came out on Saturday, June 2 to help at the Living La Vida Healthy! Wellness Fair at Bridger Elementary School. It was a great morning with a 6 mile bike ride, arts, crafts, a petting zoo, science exhibits, gardening, food demonstrations, music and much more.
And now we are gearing up for our JLP CAREs day to be held October 20, 2012! With your help the Junior League of Portland will complete service projects for JLP CAREs 2012 at six worthy non-profit organizations with over 160 volunteers, which together serve over 7,500 children in the Portland area each year. The JLP CAREs partners this year are: Peninsula Children’s Center, The Shadow Project, The Artz Center for Developmental Health & Audiology, The Children’s Center, CODA and Friends of the Children. This is an open-to-the-public volunteer event that utilizes over 160 community volunteers who gain exposure of these organization's important missions!
Thank you, we truly value your support of Volunteer in Portland!
