The Value of Women - Update on Vocational Training

Young women participating in training this month
Young women participating in training this month

You have helped women in Pakistan learn they are valuable…that they can earn a fair wage, lift their families from poverty, send their children to school, get healthcare they need, and put food on the table! The world is better because of people like you who care and walk the talk. We’re pleased to share that over 800 additional women have participated in the Vocational Training Program in 2014 and we’re well on our way to meeting our goal or reaching 1,000 young women before the end of the year. Next year we have an ambitious goal to double our reach, so that we can assist 2,000 women in 2015. We continue to benefit from working with many valuable partners throughout Pakistan so that we can work with women in many different communities.

We have just received a renewed matching grant from Safer World Foundation that enables donors to receive a 50% match for the vocational training program until the $50,000 funding pool is used (only ten other organizations eligible)! Please share this opportunity with your friends and family that you think might be interested in supporting a project like this and seeing their donor dollars go farther.

MDF encourages your involvement and welcomes any ideas that would help us to reach deserving young women in Pakistan and attract wider support. The project that you are supporting provides a safe place for mothers and their families to learn and develop skills that help make the world a safer and more secure place for all. Please help us generate awareness – become a fan of our Facebook page, join us on Twitter, and share with your networks. If you would like to start a MDF Allies in Action group in your community there are various one-time or re-occurring ideas and activities that we would be pleased to share. You can reach us at info@marshalldirectfund.org or +01 (970) 963-3150. Learn more about our activities by visiting our website at www.marshalldirectfund.org

Thank you on behalf of the students, entrepreneurs and MDF staff!
