We hope this finds you enjoying 2014! We are delighted to share that nearly 400 additional women graduated from the vocational training program in the last quarter of 2013. Thisaccomplishment occured over the course of three sessions and in partnership with three local organizations. The Multan Center is thriving and our Master Trainer, the renowned Ruby Dewan, has been traveling throughout Pakistan to offer training to women who are unable to travel to Multan. All of this means that with your help, we successfully trained 1,070 women in the last year! We have received great feedback from the entrepreneurs that have participated and the women who are engaged in Peace of the Action, the social enterprise created to help women get specific products into the international marketplace. This doubles and sometimes triples women's incomes while simultaneously allowing a portion of the proceeds to be invested back into Marshall Direct Fund activities. More girls and women are receiving the necessary education and training to gain economic independence and to adapt a sustainable business model for MDF. We also have achieved local registration status in Pakistan, which allows Pakistani citizens to benefit tax-wise by donating and qualifying for other forms of funding and grants! We plan to scale the program, pending funding in 2014, to reach 3,000-5,000 women. To view more pictures, please visit our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/MarshallDirectFund?ref=br_tf

MDF encourages your involvement and welcomes any ideas that would help us reach the deserving young women in Pakistan and attract wider support. The project that you are supporting provides a safe place for mothers and their families to learn and develop skills that help make the world a safer and more secure place for all. Please help us generate awareness: become a fan of our Facebook page, join us on Twitter and share with your networks. If you would like to start a MDF Allies in Action group in your community, there are various one-time or re-occurring ideas and activities that we would be pleased to share. You can reach us at info@marshalldirectfund.org or +1-970-963-3150. Learn more about our activities by visiting our website at www.marshalldirectfund.org

Thank you on behalf of the students, entrepreneurs and MDF staff!
