ROAD continues to Make Homes Home Again for families in need who have little to no means of recovery on their own. Floods continue to to be one of the worst natural disasters due to the ongoing damages of mold and rot it creates. ROAD teaches construction skills that enable volunteers to complete tasks they are not skilled at on their own. Our Project Managers deliver a tool trailer full of tools, building materials needed, and the experience and patience in teaching necessary for every volunteer to be successful on the project.
Just like the ongoing damages a flood creates, ROAD has an ongoing need for your volunteerism and financial donation to keep families on the ROAD to recovery!
Ms. H had water remain under her home for months. The ground beneath her home became soft and the weight of the home on her piers began to sink. Volunteers arrived and we removed the floor all the way to the ground underneath and then rebuilt it one board at a time. This is just one of many needed projects we can help volunteers accomplish.
