Vocational Training for 300 Women in Zamfara State

The Vocational Training for 300 Women in Zamfara State project, implemented by Elite Star Foundation, remains in the preparatory phase as of the latest published project report dated May 22, 2026. The project has a total funding target of $1,500, with $0 received and the full $1,500 still outstanding at the time of reporting. Consequently, no project expenditure has been recorded for training delivery, procurement of equipment, business startup kits, or beneficiary onboarding, as implementation has not yet commenced due to the lack of funding.

Despite this financial constraint, preliminary activities have continued, including community consultations, the identification of vulnerable women who could benefit from the intervention, and an assessment of the resources required for implementation. The planned programme will provide three months of practical vocational training in tailoring, poultry farming, and soap making, alongside financial literacy education and business startup kits to help participants establish income-generating activities.

The project has therefore made progress in planning and preparing for implementation, but its intended outcomes have not yet been achieved. The immediate priority remains securing the required funding, which will enable the foundation to commence training and provide the necessary equipment and startup materials to the 300 targeted women. Once implemented, the initiative aims to strengthen women's economic independence and improve the financial wellbeing of their households.
